We know shipping perishable items can be costly, but we at Chesapeake Traditions try as hard as possible to reduce shipping costs for our customers. All orders are charged based on the product total and required shipping service.
We prefer shipping overnight offering FedEx Priority Overnight (By 10:30) or FedEx Standard Overnight (By 4:30), but we also offer FedEx 2day Air (2nd day by 4:30) as well as a FedEx Next-Day Ground Service (By end of next day) to our local customers which includes parts of MD, DE, NJ, VA, WV, PA, OH, NY, MA, VT, CT and DC.
*Exact or guaranteed time of delivery varies depending on ship to zip code. Some remote or rural areas may take longer.
Cut-off time for orders placed over the internet is 12:00 p.m. EST, Monday thru Thursday to ensure order gets sent out that day. All orders received after 12:00 p.m. EST will be shipped the next business day.
Orders sent via “2-Day Air” can only be shipped on an upcoming Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
There are no Saturday, Sunday or Monday Deliveries.
Customers may check www.fedex.com or call them toll free at 1-(800)-GO-FEDEX to check on delivery schedules and track packages.
If your order is spoiled or damaged due to negligence by Chesapeake Traditions or FedEx, we will replace it free-of-charge. If you receive an order that you suspect is spoiled, damaged, or incorrect in any way, please do not discard the contents. Contact us immediately at 410-749-7075. We may request that you return the order to us for inspection. If you are dissatisfied with your order, you must notify our office by phone or email within 24 hours after receipt.
Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period. It is recommended that someone be available to receive shipments upon delivery, or shortly thereafter. If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery. If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period we cannot guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition.
Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack the contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator and/or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness. The shipping containers may not be suitable for storing your product after receipt.
Please check the shipping address carefully for errors. We cannot guarantee shipments that FedEx are unable to deliver.
